David Seiple is a post-doctoral researcher, a teacher of philosophy
and religious studies, an active member of Broadway
United Church of Christ (New York City), and Chair of the
Commission on Ecumenism and Interfaith Relations of the New York
Conference of the United Church of Christ.
His publications include articles in The Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, Critical
Texts, Union Seminary Quarterly Review, Review of Biblical Literature,
Journal of the American Academy of Religion, Contemporary Pragmatism and
The Dictionary of Literary Biography. He is co-editor (with Casey Haskins) of
Dewey Reconfigured (SUNY Press), and co-editor (with Frederick Weidmann) of Enigmas
and Powers: Engaging the Work of Walter Wink for the Classroom, Church, and World (Wipf and Stock).
He has taught courses in philosophy, religion, and critical thinking in colleges
throughout the New York area and currently teaches at a number of colleges throughout the City University
of New York. He is a member of The Philosophy Forum,
and spends most Saturday evenings at The Big Apple Ranch.
